Named after legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty — whose influence helped shape the golden age of electric guitars — the McCarty 594 platform is PRS’s tribute to classic late-1950s designs. The S2 version carries that heritage forward with meticulous Maryland craftsmanship, offering players the warmth, sustain, and feel of a traditional single-cut instrument with the reliability and playability PRS is known for.

At the heart of the guitar is a timeless tonewood pairing of a mahogany body with a carved maple top, delivering thick, resonant lows with clear, articulate highs. The 24.594" scale length — a signature of the McCarty line — provides a slightly slinkier feel that’s perfect for expressive bends and vintage-style phrasing.
