This Ibanez SRH500F from the Bass Workshop series is a fretless bass designed to merge classic upright tone with modern playability and comfort. With its unique semi-hollow construction and custom AeroSilk piezo system, this bass delivers warm, resonant, and expressive tones that are equally at home in jazz, fusion, R&B, or experimental settings. Whether you're chasing upright-like dynamics or simply exploring new textures, the SRH500F offers a distinctive palette that's unmatched in its class.

At the heart of the SRH500F’s tonal character is its semi-hollow okoume body with a spruce top, which gives the instrument a resonant, airy quality. The custom AeroSilk bridge and piezo pickup system work in harmony to faithfully capture its acoustic-like response while providing plenty of clarity and definition. Add in a piezo active tone control for nuanced shaping, and you've got a fretless bass that sings in every register.

The neck is a 5-piece Jatoba/Walnut design with a bound Panga Panga fretboard, and it’s shaped with a contoured heel for smooth access to the upper register.
