David Grissom, a revered session guitarist and longtime collaborator with artists like John Mellencamp, Joe Ely, and the Dixie Chicks, worked closely with PRS to perfect every detail of the original DGT model. Since its debut in 2007, the DGT has become a favorite among pros for its vintage feel, articulate tone, and versatile control layout. The SE version faithfully brings that spirit and performance to a wider range of players without compromise.

Built on PRS’s McCarty platform, the SE DGT combines a carved maple top with a flame maple veneer and a mahogany back for the perfect balance of snap and warmth. Its DGT-shaped mahogany neck, 22 frets, and 25" scale length ensure comfortable, fluid playability, while PRS’s DGT “S” pickups provide the articulate, Texas-voiced growl Grissom is known for. Dual volume controls, a push/pull coil-split tone control, and a 3-way toggle offer a remarkably wide tonal palette — from vintage humbucker warmth to single-coil sparkle. Finished with PRS-designed hardware, this model captures everything that makes the DGT a modern classic. A padded gig bag is included.
