Blending acoustic warmth, electric versatility, and elegant artistry, the Taylor Custom Shop T5z Catch Event #15 is a stunning hybrid instrument built for players who crave dynamic expression and stage-ready sophistication — available now at Haggerty’s Music. Dressed in a captivating Ocean Blue finish over a figured Big Leaf maple top, this custom model boasts marine-themed visual accents including green abalone Ocean Vine fretboard inlays, a matching peghead logo, and stained bone bridge pins inlaid with green Australian opal dots.

The lightweight Shamel ash body is contoured with rounded edges and an integrated armrest for enhanced comfort and playability, while a gloss finish across the body and neck elevates the guitar’s aesthetic. A T5z-specific bracing system supports its semi-hollow construction, and the versatile pickup configuration includes a magnetic acoustic body sensor, a concealed neck humbucker, and a visible bridge humbucker. The result is an expansive tonal palette, controllable via five-way switching that seamlessly shifts from rich, woody acoustic textures to biting, high-gain electric tones. A 24-7/8" scale length, slim T5 neck carve, and 1-11/16" nut width make the guitar instantly playable for a variety of techniques and genres.
