Now available at Haggerty’s Music, this limited-edition model honors 50 years of Gibson’s craftsmanship in Music City by combining vintage inspiration with contemporary enhancements. Influenced by the 1970s-era Marauder and Music City Jr. models, this Les Paul Special delivers powerful, no-nonsense tone with lightweight comfort and modern versatility. The poplar body keeps things resonant yet manageable, and the gloss nitrocellulose Tobacco Burst finish with a solid dark back evokes the vintage vibe of a well-worn stage warrior.

At the heart of the Music City Special’s voice are two Gibson 70s Tribute humbuckers, wired for simplicity with master volume and tone controls. The maple neck features a fast-playing SlimTaper profile and striped ebony fretboard, offering smooth access across all 22 medium jumbo frets. A 12" radius and set neck construction ensure comfort and sustain, while Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece deliver tuning stability and resonance. With limited production of only 650 units per color and a commemorative 50th Anniversary truss rod cover, this guitar is both a collector’s piece and a workhorse built to inspire creativity.
