Meet the Martin Custom Shop CEO7-12, a rare 12-string take on one of Martin’s most beloved boutique models. Originally designed by CEO Chris Martin IV, the CEO-7 series was created to blend vintage styling with modern craftsmanship, evoking the spirit of pre-war Gibson slope-shoulder guitars while maintaining Martin’s unmistakable character. The result was a smaller-bodied, short-scale guitar with a huge voice and timeless looks. This Custom Shop 12-string version is even more unique, taking the compact, bold-sounding 00-14 fret platform and transforming it into a rich, shimmering 12-string powerhouse.

Built with a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, the CEO7-12 delivers all the sparkle, chime, and harmonic depth you expect from a great 12-string — yet with enhanced clarity and balance, thanks to its non-scalloped bracing and slightly shorter scale length. That shorter scale also makes it easier on the hands, especially for players who may find full-length 12-strings a bit too taxing. Its ebony fingerboard and bridge provide excellent sustain and tonal richness, while the elegant Autumn Sunset Burst finish, antique white binding, and Old Style 18 inlays complete the vintage vibe. Add in Golden Age open-gear tuners with black buttons, and you’ve got a showpiece that’s as playable as it is beautiful.
