This ESP Custom Shop FRX in Liquid Metal Silver is a bold statement piece that embodies decades of ESP’s legacy in extreme guitar design. Handcrafted by master luthiers at the ESP Custom Shop in Japan, this instrument blends futuristic curves, multi-beveled contours, and elite-level components into a stage-ready powerhouse built for serious players.

The alder body delivers tight, focused lows and crisp upper mids, while the set-thru 3-piece maple neck provides exceptional sustain and effortless upper-fret access across all 24 frets. The Thin U neck contour feels fast and controlled, making it ideal for high-speed riffing, technical solos, and fluid lead work. The ebony fingerboard adds snap and articulation, complementing the guitar’s 25.5" scale length for clarity and precision — especially in lower tunings or aggressive playing styles.

Loaded with a Seymour Duncan Distortion in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan ’59 in the neck — both direct-mounted and coil-splittable via push/pull tone control — the FRX offers a wide tonal range. From crushing, high-output rhythm tones to articulate cleans and split-coil sparkle, it’s equally at home in modern metal, hard rock, and progressive genres. An Original Floyd Rose tremolo, Gotoh locking tuners, and ESP strap locks ensure rock-solid stability and performance reliability.
