Today, the Warwick Pro Series Thumb BO 5 continues that legacy — crafted in Germany by skilled luthiers and optimized for professional performance in every way.

The compact body of this Thumb BO is carved from ovangkol wood, giving it a resonant, mid-rich tonality with just enough brightness to cut through a dense mix. It’s paired with a wenge fretboard and a comfortable C-shaped ovangkol neck that’s bolted on for snap and attack. Warwick’s meticulous construction methods — including Invisible Fretwork Technology (IFT) and glow-in-the-dark side dots — make for an exceptional playing experience, whether you're using fingerstyle, slap, or pick techniques. Its smooth 26" radius fretboard and 34" scale provide effortless movement across all five strings, with a particularly responsive low B.

Powering its voice are a pair of active MEC J-style pickups wired to a 2-band MEC preamp. The stacked-coil design ensures hum-free operation, and the EQ system — along with a push/pull passive bypass — makes dialing in your tone quick and precise.
