The Player II Modified Active Precision Bass takes the timeless P-Bass formula and adds modern versatility for today’s working bassist. With its alder body and maple fingerboard, this bass delivers the familiar punch, clarity, and snap players expect, but its updated electronics push it well beyond tradition. The combination of a Precision split-coil in the middle position and a noiseless Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge gives you everything from round, vintage thump to articulate growl with tight low end. Add the newly designed active preamp with passive tone control, and you have a palette that can cover any genre — funk, rock, R&B, or metal — with zero hum and total control over your EQ.

Playability is effortless thanks to the satin-finished Modern “C” maple neck and smooth 9.5" radius fingerboard with rolled edges. Hardware upgrades like the HiMass bridge, tapered-shaft tuners, and TUSQ nut provide excellent tuning stability and sustain, even under heavy playing styles. Finished in a classic 3-Color Sunburst with an elegant aged white pearloid pickguard, this Player II Modified Active Precision Bass pairs vintage style with modern performance, making it equally at home on stage, in the studio, or on the road.
