The Taylor Next Generation Builder’s Edition 814ce represents a new chapter for one of Taylor’s most celebrated models, combining forward-thinking design with some of the most inspiring tonewoods available today. Built around Taylor’s versatile Grand Auditorium body shape, this version pairs an Adirondack spruce top with Honduran rosewood back and sides, producing a rich and expansive voice with bold projection, shimmering highs, and warm, piano-like lows. The dense Honduran rosewood adds depth and smooth overtone complexity, while Adirondack spruce provides exceptional headroom and clarity even under a powerful attack.

Inside, Taylor’s updated scalloped V-Class bracing with a relief rout enhances volume, sustain, and pitch accuracy while allowing the top to respond more freely. The result is an instrument that feels incredibly alive in the hands, delivering articulate note separation alongside the lush harmonic character players expect from a flagship 800 Series model. A unique four-piece Honduran rosewood back with a Simons wedge adds visual elegance while improving projection and comfort against the body.

As part of the Builder’s Edition family, this 814ce incorporates player-focused refinements designed to make long sessions effortless.
