The Epiphone 1963 Dove Reissue brings one of Gibson’s most iconic square-shoulder acoustics back to life with stunning historical accuracy. Part of the Inspired by Gibson Custom collection, this model faithfully captures the spirit and design of the early 1960s original that helped define the sound of countless recordings. Known for its striking appearance and bold voice, the Dove has long been a favorite of legendary players, and this reissue honors that legacy with vintage-correct style and craftsmanship.

At the heart of the guitar is a thermally aged solid spruce top supported by traditional scalloped X-bracing made from quarter-sawn spruce. Paired with solid figured maple back and sides, the Dove delivers a bright, clear voice with excellent articulation and a balanced low end that stands out from other square-shoulder designs. The result is a tone that feels open and lively, with crisp highs, focused mids, and the projection needed to shine in both solo playing and full-band settings.

The one-piece thermally aged mahogany neck features a comfortable Rounded profile and is paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard adorned with classic mother-of-pearl split parallelogram inlays. A Gibson-style open-book headstock with aged mother-of-pearl Epiphone and Gibson crown inlays reinforces the guitar’s vintage-inspired pedigree, while Kluson Waffleback tuners provide reliable tuning stability with unmistakable vintage character.

Historic Dove appointments complete the look, including the iconic pickguard featuring a mother-of-pearl dove and the rosewood bridge with matching dove inlays. Bone hardware throughout enhances the guitar’s resonance and sustain, while modern L.R. Baggs Element Bronze VTC electronics ensure the instrument is ready for stage and studio use.
