In celebration of over three million guitars crafted since 1833, Martin presents the D-300—a breathtaking limited-edition masterpiece inspired by the legendary D-3 Millionth guitar. The D-300 begins where all great Martins begin: in wood chosen not just for beauty, but for soul. Its Adirondack spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides are a set of tonewoods that have defined generations of Martin players. The top features 192 silver and sycamore rings, each symbolizing a year of Martin’s history, with solid gold dots marking pivotal moments along the way. Together, these rare materials and symbolic designs create a guitar that tells a rich story, blending prewar magic with a museum-worthy aesthetic.

Artistry radiates through every inlay and flourish on the D-300. The top’s concentric tree-ring pattern draws the eye inward, while the back showcases an exquisite abalone sycamore tree that honors the countless craftspeople who make up the “& Co.” in Martin & Co. The ebony fingerboard continues the theme with delicate hand-inlaid branches and leaves, complemented by Moravian star inlays on the headstock, back, and heel—a nod to Martin’s deep Pennsylvania roots. Perhaps most captivating of all, the ebony pickguard maps out Nazareth, Pennsylvania, with inlaid rubies marking the three historic Martin factory locations. The closer you look, the more detail is revealed - the sycamore tree’s branches also appear across the top and bottom of the body and flamed maple binding traces every edge, bordered by an intricate abalone inlay. The ebony bridge adds another touch of wonder with inlaid abalone pyramids and delicate leaf motifs carved into its surface. Even the functional elements are transformed into art: Waverly gold tuners etched with stars and leaves gleam on the headstock, their posts each set with emeralds that mirror the emerald-set Liquidmetal bridge pins below.
