The Epiphone Kirk Hammett “Greeny” Les Paul Standard captures the spirit of one of the most storied guitars in rock history. Originally owned by Peter Green during his Fleetwood Mac years, then passed to Gary Moore for three decades of Thin Lizzy and solo work, and now played by Kirk Hammett of Metallica, “Greeny” has carried the touch of three legendary players. Its signature voice comes from the out-of-phase middle switch position, created by the neck pickup’s reverse magnetic polarity—a quirk that helped define its unmistakable tone.

Crafted in collaboration with the Gibson Custom Shop, this Epiphone tribute brings the magic of Greeny within reach. It features Gibson USA Greenybucker pickups, with the neck pickup reverse-mounted for authentic tonal character, along with CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors, a Switchcraft selector, and Grover Rotomatic tuners. Finished with a Gibson-style “open book” headstock and packaged in a vintage-style brown and pink hardshell case, this guitar is built for players who want not only legendary tone but also a piece of rock history.
