Inspired by Billy’s cherished 1940 D-28, this signature model beautifully bridges vintage tradition and contemporary performance. The Dreadnought body shape, crafted with a solid spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, delivers the powerful resonance and lush bass that D-28s are famous for, while the antique toner, bold herringbone trim, and antique white binding offer a striking vintage aesthetic.

This signature model introduces a unique 25" scale length that slightly reduces string tension, providing exceptional playability for intricate bends and rapid-fire runs. A modified low oval neck with a standard taper and a custom nut width ensures an agile, comfortable playing experience, perfect for today's versatile flatpickers and bluegrass virtuosos. Additional premium touches like a satin-finished genuine mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond and square inlays, nickel enclosed gear tuners, and a faux tortoise pickguard complete this stunning, player-driven instrument. Each guitar features a special paper label with Billy Strings’ pre-printed signature and model graphic, and comes housed in a protective hardshell case.
