Vintage-inspired elements include a VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM® (VTS) spruce top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction—all combining to create that legendary, aged Martin sound that has shaped music history. Its striking design is elevated with East Indian rosewood binding, gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and a 1930s-style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock.  

Modern features push the D-18 into new territory. Liquidmetal® bridge pins with red dots and a carbon fiber composite bridge plate amplify volume and sustain, while a slightly asymmetrical neck shape ensures exceptional comfort during long playing sessions.
