Now, for the first time, Epiphone, Gibson Custom, and the Hendrix family present the Jimi Hendrix™ "Love Drops" Flying V™ in a true left-handed configuration—an authentic tribute to one of Hendrix’s most unique and visually striking instruments. Originally a Sunburst model, Hendrix personally transformed this guitar with his hand-painted psychedelic artwork and played it extensively between 1967 and 1969. This Inspired by Gibson Custom edition faithfully recreates the instrument that helped shape rock history.

Designed for left-handed players, this Flying V features a mahogany body and a one-piece mahogany neck with a rounded C profile for comfortable, fluid playing. The 22-fret laurel fingerboard provides effortless fretting, while the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo and a reproduction of Jimi’s signature on the back of the headstock add a personal touch. Epiphone Deluxe tuners ensure rock-solid tuning, and the short Maestro™ Vibrola™ tailpiece allows for smooth, expressive vibrato.

For tone, this left-handed Flying V is equipped with dual Gibson Custombucker humbuckers™, delivering the articulate, vintage warmth that defined Hendrix’s sound. The electronics are top-quality, featuring CTS® potentiometers, a Mallory™ tone capacitor, and a Switchcraft® 3-way selector switch, ensuring premium clarity and responsiveness.
