The B&S DBX X-Line Professional Trumpet is a versatile and innovative instrument designed to meet the needs of both classical and modern players. Key features include a large-bore valve section (0.462" L-bore), a reversed leadpipe for enhanced playability, and two interchangeable bells: one in yellow brass with a French bead for a bright, vibrant sound and another in gold brass with a traditional rim for a warm orchestral tone. This dual-bell setup allows flexibility for various styles, including orchestra, chamber music, and big band performances.

The trumpet also features hand-hammered, one-piece bells, monel pistons, boxed valve springs, and nickel silver outer slides. It includes modern conveniences such as Amado-style water keys, a first-valve slide trigger, and a stopper ring on the third valve slide for improved ergonomics and precision. Finished in silver plate, the DBX comes with a double wooden hard case and essential accessories like a mouthpiece and maintenance tools.
