This 1971 Fender Telecaster is a true vintage build, put together using authentic 1970-1972 Fender parts for a classic look, feel, and sound. The Olympic White body, now aged to a blonde hue, and the 1971 Fender neck make for a guitar that captures the essence of early-'70s Fender craftsmanship. While the body and neck were sold as original finish, there’s a chance of overspray or a refinish, but the work is so well done that it’s hard to tell. The frets may also have been replaced, but the guitar plays effortlessly and sounds fantastic.
This Tele features a 1972 Fender bridge pickup and neck pickup (rewound), a 1969 Fender Telecaster wiring harness, and an original 1971 Fender bridge and pickguard. The guitar weighs 7lbs 10oz, making it comfortable to play, and it's strung with D'Addario NYXL1046 (10-46) strings for a balanced tone and smooth feel. It comes with a period-correct black rectangular hard case and has been professionally assembled by Dustin Herbek at Dietze Music, Lincoln, Nebraska.
The previous owner kept reciepts and documentation from this build and they are all included in a folder with the instrument. Due to limitations on photo uploads, we had to be selective on what to post.
