The 815e is built with solid Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a Sitka spruce top, forming a big-bodied instrument with a commanding voice. The traditional X-bracing, a hallmark of Taylor's early days, delivers a warm, textured tone with sparkling trebles, resonant lows, and a slight midrange scoop, enhanced by lush overtones that bloom beautifully.

Playability is elevated by Taylor's modern neck profile, offering a smooth, hand-friendly feel. Vintage-inspired touches include the mustache bridge, straight-ear peghead with rosewood veneer, and elegant appointments like white binding, a green abalone three-ring rosette, ebony bridge pins with abalone dots, and a faux-tortoiseshell pickguard. The gloss-finished body and neck add a stunning visual finish, complemented by Large Diamond fretboard inlays in mother-of-pearl.

Equipped with an LR Baggs Element VTC undersaddle pickup, this guitar delivers clear, expressive tone with on-the-fly volume and tone adjustments via discreet soundhole controls. It also features a special Legacy interior label and ships in a deluxe hardshell case for premium protection.
