Some guitars define an era, and the Gibson Custom Shop 1957 SJ-200 is a true icon. Known as the "King of the Flat-Tops," this legendary acoustic delivers the unmistakable vintage vibe and feel of Gibson’s most prized instruments. With hand-selected flame maple back and sides, a thermally aged Sitka spruce top, and an authentic nitrocellulose VOS finish, this guitar embodies the craftsmanship and tone of the 1950s originals.

Built with traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing using hide glue, the SJ-200 provides incredible resonance and projection. The 2-piece maple neck with a rounded profile ensures smooth playability, while the rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl Graduated Crown inlays adds elegance to its design. A compound dovetail neck-to-body joint ensures superior tonal transfer and sustain.

Classic hardware appointments include Gotoh Keystone tuners, a SJ-200 Four Bar Moustache bridge with a bone saddle, and a casted SJ-200 pickguard. This instrument stays true to its vintage roots with no electronics, making it an ideal choice for purists who crave the rich, natural tones of an all-acoustic guitar. It comes complete with a period-correct hardshell case for ultimate protection and authenticity.
