Limited to just 1,954 pieces worldwide, this special edition honors the Stratocaster’s first model year — a time when its sleek contours, versatile tone, and forward-thinking design forever altered the landscape of rock, blues, country, and pop music.

Every detail of this limited model reflects Fender’s devotion to historical accuracy and craftsmanship. The two-piece ash body features a side seam and a thin flash-coat nitrocellulose lacquer finish in the original 2-Color Sunburst, allowing the wood to resonate naturally while giving it an unmistakably vintage vibe. The one-piece maple neck, carved to a comfortable 1954 “C” profile, includes a date stamp just below the truss rod adjustment nut — a nod to Fender’s earliest production years. A trio of meticulously voiced American Vintage 1954 single-coil pickups captures that sparkling, bell-like tone that defined entire eras of popular music and spoke to generations of guitar players, from Buddy Holly and Hank Marvin to Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler and beyond. Although this Strat is outfitted with a 5-way pickup selector switch for modern guitarists, a period-accurate 3-way switch is included for players who want the true vintage experience.

Additional period-correct features include a single-ply white pickguard, polystyrene control knobs, a round “button” string tree, “patent pending” bridge saddles, and vintage-style hardware. Each guitar was shipped with an impressive array of accessories, including a center-pocket tweed case, black leather strap, bridge cover, cable, polishing cloth, and replica 1954 paperwork — all included with this used model.
