Born from the shadows of rock and the legacy of craftsmanship, the Gibson Custom Kirk Hammett Raven Acoustic is a striking union between one of metal’s most influential guitarists and Gibson’s master luthiers. Designed in collaboration with Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, the Raven reimagines the classic Hummingbird silhouette through a darker, more cinematic lens—an acoustic that commands both stage and soul. Its Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides breathe with resonance and clarity, while scalloped Advanced X-bracing delivers the timeless warmth and projection Gibson is known for.

The Raven’s aesthetic tells a story of contrast and precision. A bound ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl star inlays rests atop a comfortable mahogany neck, crafted for smooth, expressive playability. At the headstock, Gibson’s iconic logo sits beneath a haunting mother-of-pearl raven skull—a symbol of transformation and artistry. Custom dual pickguards and a raven-inspired tailpiece continue the motif, transforming this instrument into a visual statement piece as bold as the music it was built to inspire.

Powered by an L.R. Baggs Element VTC +4 system, the Raven is equally at home under the spotlight or in the studio, with discreet controls that preserve its sleek, ebony finish. Each model is handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana, and signed by Hammett himself on the soundhole label—only 100 exist worldwide. Complete with a black Gibson Custom hardshell case adorned with a raven skull graphic and a matching custom strap, this limited-edition creation stands as both an instrument and an artifact—one that blurs the line between art, sound, and legend.
