Band Instrument Rentals

band_inst

We make renting a school band instrument simple!

For first time players we offer an affordable three month trial in which students can get started in the school band program. The cost for three months is as follows:

Band Instruments (Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Violin, Viola, etc) - $30 for 90 days!
Alto Saxophone - $50 for 90 days!
Tenor Saxophone - $80 for 90 days!
Cello - $80 for 90 days!

Most istruments rent for just $30, and that payment will cover you for three entire months. Once the 90 day trial is up you may decide if you want to buy the instrument, continue with a rent-to-own monthly payment, or return the instrument back to us.

How does our rent-to-own program work?

After your three month trial you may continue to rent the instrument you have and all of your money applies towards purchase. You can buy the instrument at any time, pay it off monthly, or return it to us at any time. You are never locked in or committed to paying off the instrument.

Why choose Haggerty's?

We take great care in choosing what instruments we will put into a child's hands. Our repairmen, who are professional players, tediously inspect, sterilize, and approve every instrument that we rent. It is our promise that your child will never receive an instrument from us that will be difficult to play or hinder their progress in learning a new instrument.

What kind of warranty do we offer?

Haggerty's fully warranties all of our rental instruments for a period of one year, including parts and labor. So many of the instruments found in "big-box" stores today break easily and are not repairable due to poor construction. Not the case at Haggerty's. Should our instruments ever need repair, they are easily serviced. Although our warranty does not cover abuse to the instrument, you can be confident that should any part of your instrument be found needing attention, we are there to back it up.

We are careful when choosing what lines of orchestra instruments we will sell. Many of the inexpensive imports will not even stay in tune! That's why we only carry quality lines of hand made instruments.

scottcao_site_logoScott Shu-kun Cao is listed among the best-known contemporary violin makers in the world. His instruments are currently in the hands of soloists, famous professional players and collectors. For their tonal quality, Scott's instruments are renowned. For over ten years, Scott Cao has been copying famous violin models. Due to his vast experience, Scott Cao can individually tailor make instruments for any player's tonal requirements. He can vary one particular violin model to meet your preference of tone. For example, if you need a darker powerful tone, Scott can make a "Cannon" del Gesu Guarneri or a "Soil" Strad copy. If you prefer a sweet, clear and open tone, Scott can make a "Kreisler" del Gesu Guarneri or a "David Oistrakh" Strad.

Today, the instrument and bow making workshops of Eastman Strings operate in precisely the same manner as late 19th century European workshops. They have virtually no power tools aside from the band saws used to cut out the necks and the outlines of the tops and backs of instruments. Chisels, knives, gouges, and scrapers, in the hands of outstandingly gifted craftspeople, are the primary tools used to create these modern instruments and bows, using methods centuries old. Thanks to Eastman Strings, string players today have advantages unknown to earlier generations: quality instruments, bows, and cases available world-wide at affordable prices.
